Dave Huffman announced his intent to seek the Republican nomination for the 83rd House District seat by planning a walking tour throughout the district. Huffman will walk and talk to voters and businesses in every part of the district starting at sunset and continuing on into the evening. Huffman insists that this is simply a continuation of an ongoing effort to stay in close contact with the voters. This is the same approach he has taken for several years having been elected to the Williamsport School Board and the Lycoming County Republican State Committee. Huffman believes the only way to know what is on the minds of the people is to go out and talk to them directly. Huffman has voted against every property tax increase
over the past 4 years serving on the school board coming primarily from listening to the voter and their strong opposition to tax increases. Huffman emphasized his business experience as well as his education experience that includes full-time teaching at the high school AND college levels. He has also been employed in higher education administration. Serving on the Williamsport PA school board has been a great learning experience and invaluable preparation for a state office where education represents almost 50% (46-47) of the entire state budget. No other candidate for this office understands education better than Huffman. Huffman is 100% pro-life and pro-second amendment and will fight hard to end school property taxes, protect 2nd amendment freedoms, defend family and innocent life, reform Pennsylvania’s legal system, expose waste and public corruption and work to not only cut taxes to help create jobs but work to replace the existing property tax system in the state.
